  Newport University’s Website Re-Design

  One year on and I thought it was about time to take a look back at the re-design of Newport University’s website.  Newport’s re-designed corporate website (www.newport.ac.uk) was launched late 2010.   Caerleon 360 Virtual Tour

  This is a 360 panoramic virtual tour of Newport University’s Caerleon campus.  Shots were taken around the campus including a spectacular panoramic view from the clock tower.  The aim of the tour was to show the campus facilities and the green scenic views.  It was shot using a Nikon D5100 and a Sigma 4.5mm fisheye lens.  You will need Flash to view it.

  Inside Newport Episode 3

  Inside Newport is the innovative internal communications video for staff at Newport’s University.  It’s presented by Dominic Hannigan, the Press and Communications Officer, and filmed, edited and produced by myself, Stephen Cleary.  It’s shot in our large green screen studio on Caerleon Campus.  The final video is hosted on YouTube and embedded on our intranet.

  Summer Ball 2011

  The annual Summer Ball at the University of Wales, Newport is always an eye catching event.  This year they had Chase & Status, Tinchy Stryder, Funeral For A Friend and The Hoosiers performing.  This video is a roundup of the nights performances whilst giving prospective students an insight into what student life is like at Newport.   Newport Slang App

  In July 2011 my team at University of Wales, Newport launched our first mobile app on Apple’s App Store and on the Android Market.  We created a light hearted concept to test out developing and publishing apps.  The Newport Slang Translator was born, and to our surprise it was very successful and generated local media interest. The concept was not a traditional way to advertise a University, but it proved very popular with prospective students and the 13-17 year old age group. [...]

  Wales University Officer Training Corps

  Wales UOTC is for everyone, whether you want a career with the Army or not. It provides a great introduction to the Regular Army or the TA and gives you outstanding life skills to compliment your chosen career after University. This video was produced in conjunction with the WUOTC and the University of Wales, Newport. Its purpose is to promote the UOTC to current and prospective students at Welsh universities.
