I was given the brief to create a very short video to be used as a looping advert on various student websites. The video advertises clearing places and support at the University of Wales, Newport. The video is aimed at A-level students so I decided to go with an 8-bit style stop motion video. The challenge was to get the message across in an eye catching style in a very short time.
This video was produced to accompany the University of Wales, Newport’s Learning & Teaching Strategy document. It was designed as an internal communication to students and staff at the University as well as external stake holders. It’s filmed at many different locations on both campuses at the University.
Wales UOTC is for everyone, whether you want a career with the Army or not. It provides a great introduction to the Regular Army or the TA and gives you outstanding life skills to compliment your chosen career after University. This video was produced in conjunction with the WUOTC and the University of Wales, Newport. Its purpose is to promote the UOTC to current and prospective students at Welsh universities. Newport’s University Robotic football Team were treated to an exclusive performance of the Welsh National Anthem, Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau by the BBC National Chorus of Wales at BBC Hoddinott Hall, Cardiff as they prepare to journey to Istanbul to compete in the International RoboCup Championship. The robots recorded the anthem to play back before each match in the RoboCup. I produced this video to accompany the news article on Newport Uni’s website. Filmed and edited by Stephen Cleary.
